About: In 2018 Frasch and Akama each composed a work using a written texts and object score; then they exchanged the compositions and recorded them separately. Akama's composition "For Heather's Day" was recorded and edited in several sessions by Frasch using field recordings, objects and electronics to create a work of 40 minutes in length. Frasch's composition "A Moment in My Day" was recorded by Akama with invited musicians Brice Catherin (cello, objects) and Eleanor Cully (voice, objects) as well as her own sounds (organ, objects), resulting in the creation of four different takes.

Below is the track that Frasch created from Akama’s score which is also featured below. Frasch developed the electronics using the number system on the score. Then filtered the field recordings individually to change the perspective of each day the train sounds were recorded in order to capture the text of ‘concurrently being and decaying’ that is written on the score, and which is alluded to with the photograph. Frasch used the physical objects plus a few others that she created inspired by this object and text score.

The track is a Listening Sample Only
